According to David Zuby, the chief research officer for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), lane departure and forward warning technology may be the two most beneficial tools in helping drowsy drivers stay out of accidents.

Drivers are still urged to take some common sense precautions to help to reduce the risks of these accidents. Get a full night’s sleep before heading out on our roadways.
